‘Roly poly’, designed by the Design Incubation Centre at the National University of Singapore, are a pair of egg-like objects that mirror each other’s movements, even when physically separated. Two people thus can sense each other’s presence despite distances across the world: a tap of one half will create a simultaneous reaction in the other.
#this would be a great gag gift tbh #”hey i know you like vintage things i found this egg in a thrift store apparently it came from some house in the 19th century” #”it has a rich story apparently this was some little boy’s favourite toy before his own mother smothered him with a blanket” #and then when you get home JUST START ROCKING YOUR EGG BACK AND FORTH
I can’t decide which interpretation I like better.

Step 2: Smash em together.
